About Taylor Art House
Taylor Art House was founded on June 21, 2000. The company promotes the communication, production and sales of work by Seattle artist Jon Taylor. The web site was launched in September 2002. Unlike a traditional gallery's site, this is an artist's site - it is as much about cataloging work, process and research as it is about sales. We suggest you book mark the Home Page, since content and paths will undoubtedly change. See the 2008 Update Jon Taylor was born in Salem, Oregon. He attended the School of Architecture at the University of Oregon and moved to Seattle in 1977. He is a senior designer and associate principal at a large architectural firm. Jon is currently a Board member of Seattle Print Arts, a local group offering lectures, workshops, studio visits and demonstrations about printmaking.
Many of the art pieces seen on this site have themes including water, boats, sea life, kites, air craft, architecture and words. Images and ideas are often tied together with painting, sketching, drafting, sewing, digital images, photography, archival inkjet printing, traditional relief and intaglio printmaking and various other attachments and overlays. See Artwork Directory. This area is constantly updated. All images and work are copyrighted, please ask before using images or web content. In most cases it will not be a problem, if properly credited.
If you are interested in any of the work contact us for information on pricing and shipping.
Jon is continually exploring new techniques and is available for lectures and demonstrations on a variety of methods. See Research.
The current work is produced in two locations in Seattle, see the Studio page.
